Drive, confidence, self motivation and persistence are characteristics all entrepreneurs must inherently possess to endure the up and down roller coaster ride of business ownership.
On our brightest days, we wake up with the roosters, whip out the faithful “To-Do” list and start tackling revenue generating tasks with fervor and vigor.
But what sparks you into action on those days when feelings of powerlessness and despair paralyzes you into inaction? The days when the failures outweigh successes, the mortgage payment looms larger than the balance in your bank account, prospects are avoiding your calls and NOTHING you’ve tried is working? What sparks you into action???
Every man knows its taboo to ask a woman her age. But ask a woman whose fit and she’ll shout it from the mountain tops! I’ve never had a problem sharing my age. Every birthday means another opportunity to live a fit and fabulous life. But since getting in the best shape of my life at 41, I wear my age on my sleeve like a badge of honor.
People are sometimes shocked at by age, but that wasn’t always the case. Last year, I was overweight at 170 lbs on a 5’4” frame. One morning, I became frustrated and near tears, when I realized that I had nothing to wear to work because all my clothes were too tight. I decided right then and there, at 6:00 a.m. standing in my closet naked, that I was getting rid of the weight once and for all! Too many months of late night eating, junk food binges, fast food runs and no exercise had caught up to me BIG time! (pun intended 😉 )
Here’s what I did to turn it all around and start living fit and fabulous at 40!
