My NEW Love: PiYo Strength!!

I’ve been doing PiYo for a few weeks now and I’m seeing hardcore results!  I can start to see the separation in my quads!  Yay!!

In a nut shell, PiYo is a fusion of pilates and yoga and is affectionately called “Yoga for Rebels”.  🙂 The layers build from a slow pace to a faster pace for added cardio benefits, so you get strength training, cardio and flexibility training all in one but without the impact on your joints.  Check out the promo video…

 

I never thought I’d love yoga and then I was introduced to PiYo and loved it! One of my girlfriends describes it as poetry in motion. Such a fitting description.

PiYo is a strength & flexibility workout using only your body weight to burn fat and sculpt lean, strong muscles. My flexibility has increased 10 fold just from doing PiYo once a week. I teach PiYo, Turbo Kick and RIPPED at the YMCA in Atlanta.

This is a short clip I posted on Instagram of me doing Flow from PiYo 50. I love how smoothly it flows (no pun intended 🙂
